Refund Policy
Effective date: 14 March 2026 — Version 1.0
1. Your statutory cancellation rights
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel a service contract and receive a full refund. This applies to purchases made on CV Scout AI.
Exception — digital service waiver: At checkout, you are asked to confirm that you request immediate access to your Scout AI credits and acknowledge that using credits waives your statutory right to cancel in respect of those credits used. This waiver is a legal mechanism provided for in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and is not a commercial imposition — it is the standard legal framework for digital services requested to start immediately.
2. Our voluntary refund commitment (unused credits)
As a commercial goodwill decision — not a legal obligation under the Consumer Contracts Regulations — we will refund the price of unused credits on request within 14 days of purchase.
This commitment means:
- Unused credits = credits remaining in your account that have not been consumed by a tailoring session
- Request must be made within 14 days of the purchase date
- We will refund the proportional value of the unused credits
- Credits used before the refund request are not refundable (in line with the statutory waiver)
This policy does not create or imply any additional statutory right beyond what the Consumer Contracts Regulations already provide.
3. How to request a refund
Use our contact form (select “Billing or refund”) and include:
- Your registered email address
- The date of purchase
- The package purchased
- The reason for the refund request
4. Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 14 days of approval and are returned to the original payment method via Stripe. If you raise a chargeback with your bank while a refund request is being processed, we may close your account on resolution of the dispute.
